A Shein consultant declined to supply a direct reply when requested by a British parliamentary committee on Tuesday whether or not the corporate makes use of cotton from China in its merchandise.
The fast-fashion on-line retailer’s common counsel for Europe, Center East and Africa (EMEA), Yinan Zhu, stated: “The suppliers we work with, they are based in China, in Turkey and Brazil, and obviously many of them are in China.”
“With due respect, may I please ask for permission to be able to write to you about further questions you may have,” she stated, when pressed additional on if the corporate sourced cotton from China.
