Lights, digicam, paparazzi! Traditional-with-a-twist film star smoldered out onto the catwalk of Dolce & Gabbana this season, in a set entitled “Paparazzi.”

Riffing on director Federico Fellini’s 1960 masterpiece, “La Dolce Vita”, the place the movie star snapper had the surname Paparazzi, the gathering evoked the heroic days of Italian cinema, even because it subtly undermined its codes. Whereas their double lapel tuxedos, matinee idol silk barathea pants worn with eight-inch-wide cummerbunds and evenly wrap-around Nehru jackets completed by triple silver strass buttons all reeked stylish. As ever, the design duo’s entrance row was a shiny one, together with James McAvoy, Josh Heuston, Achille Lauro, Alberto Guerra, Rocco Ritchie, Edoardo Bove, Levi Dylan and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. A gaggle of Koreans – Jung Hae-in, Steve Sanghyun-Noh and Nam Yoon-su. Plus, Lucien Laviscount, who performs the lover of Emily in “Emily in Paris,” trying very natter in a dandy chalk stripe pajama swimsuit.
