We’re informed the outerwear assortment of outerwear “juxtaposes Erdem’s language of poetic and modern femininity with Barbour’s traditional practicality and heritage fabrications”
The result’s a five-piece capsule that takes inspiration from Erdem’s “signature silhouettes and precise tailoring, alongside a fascination with the natural world”.
The gathering includes 4 key outerwear types: The Beauflower (an evolution of the Barbour Beaufort wax jacket), The Dhalia (options an exploded peplum waist and removable tartan hood; The Clover (a reversable swing jacket) and The Constance (a wax jacket that mixes a traditional tailor-made silhouette with utilitarian particulars).
The Dhalia, Clover and Constance are provided in each sand and olive colourways, and likewise out there is a removable hood with checked inside and etched floral overprint.
The style label’s artistic director Erdem Moralioglu mentioned the collab was “inspired by the extraordinary Barbour archive, particularly their fabrics and hardware and loved the idea of translating their heritage of practical, utilitarian details and combining it with my language of the feminine.”
