Style Leap For Local weather (FLFC), the local weather training programme launched two years in the past by About You, YNAP and Zalando, now has some new big-name members.
ASOS, Selfridges Group, and Boozt have all signed up, “extending the programme’s invitation to hundreds of fashion brands within its combined portfolio”.
Cascale, a non-profit world alliance, additionally joins as a strategic companion, “offering the programme to select members of its global apparel and consumer goods network”.
The programme is designed to “elevate the fashion industry’s response to the inherent climate challenges it faces. It supports fashion brands to learn how to measure their own carbon footprints and set targets in line with climate science”.
FLFC mentioned scaling the initiative to extra members “marks an important milestone in fostering a supportive environment to address the industry’s urgent need for climate action”.
With the arrival of the three new retailers, round 100 of their model companions will now acquire entry to the complete academic programme, business insights, and “opportunities to collaborate with other leading names in the sector”.
In the meantime, Cascale brings 25 new individuals from its community into the programme and “adds value by leveraging its community of over 300 brands, retailers and manufacturers to raise awareness and drive collective action to reduce environmental impact”.
Jodie Leek, head of ESG for companion manufacturers at ASOS mentioned: “As a multi-brand retailer, industry collaboration has been central to our Fashion with Integrity strategy for many years, helping us learn from the best of the industry and support developing brands as they start their sustainability journey. We’re excited to join the programme to strengthen our existing approach to engaging with partner brands and support them in accelerating decarbonisation of their products and supply chains.”
